His insight into the reasons for this involvement provides the reader with a clear picture of why the Army holds the power it does. It also deals with the power struggles and the ideological struggles within the army itself, its role in Pakistani politics, its relationship with the United States and clarifies a lot of questions regarding the role of this complex body.
