Depti Nazir Ahmed was known as Maulvi Nazir Ahmed and he took great pride in the fact that he belonged to a highly respected Muslim family. But contrary to his contemporaries, he refrained from bickering over trivial matters of faith. Instead he took to writing and through his various educational works managed to inspire and educate many.
Depti's novels are widely read throughout the Indo-Pak Subcontinent. From 6th grade students to the connoisseurs of Urdu Literature, everyone's read Depti Nazir Ahmed's work at one time or the other.
This 'Majmua' contains a collection of Depti Nazir Ahmed's most appreciated novels including 'Mirat-ul-Uroos', which in its time was even recommended by the then Government of India.
