Tales of the Four Dervesh by Mir Amman is a well known story in the subcontinent. It was originally told by the famous poet/writer Amir Khusro to the renowned saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia when he was unwell. When Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia recovered he was so pleased that he prayed that whoever listens to this story may always have good health.
Mir Amman was from Delhi. He translated the Tales of the Four Dervesh from Persian into Urdu language in 1803. His translation of these tales remains the most popular one to this day.
The tales are full of exciting stories and adventures that will captivate young minds and take them to journeys of hundreds of years ago.
The Tales of the Four Dervesh has been divided into four books to make easy reading for younger children.
Book One: Tale of the Frist Dervesh.
This is the story of a trader from Yemen who goes out in search of fortune after losing all his wealth. What follows is a story full of intrigues, mysteries and adventures which children will enjoy.

Book Four: Tale of the Third and Fourth Dervesh.
Tale of the Third Dervesh, is a story of a young Prince, the son of King of Persia, and of Noman the traveller, who tries to save a Princess from Jazeera-e-Farangi from being killed by the King. An exciting tale full of intrigues.
Tale of the Fourth Dervesh, a story about jinns, the Prince of China, how his uncle, the King betrays him, his escape and the mystery of a beautiful girl who is living like a beggar in a broken down palace.
