The greatest debut album I have ever heard!!! Yes it is Fuzon's "SAAGAR". The band promises to steal your heart and keep it.
The lead singer Shafqat Amanat Ali, the guitarist Shallum Xavier, and keyboards by Imran, the trio is definitely here to stay. The album is expected to smash most of the previous records. The charismatic lead singer takes off with a wonderful start with the popular song 'Ankhon Ke Sagar' followed by another masterpiece 'Teray Bina'. Shafqat shows his talents in the next song 'Madhvanti' which is a semi-classical song and is really excellent. Then comes 'Doorian' a light sentimental number. 'Piyar Na Raha' is a peppy song, a nice one.
'Malhaar' has a lot to do with Raags and Sur. A patriotic/ love song 'Dewane' follows which is quite an inspirational number and the lyrics are good. 'Nadania' is also a fast song but good to listen to. 'Baatein' follows which is excellent and the basic tune of the song is very different and unique. Shafqat steals the show with 'Khamaj' and that in spite of being my personal favorite really shows that we do have some good voices and real talent.
Excellent lyrics, wonderful music and exceptional voice, 'Khamaj' will soon hit the charts and will surely stay there. The album winds up with the graceful 'Ankhain'.
To be frank, the album is too good to be a debut album and this band has taken off to an extra-ordinary start.
