From the Foreword:
It is good to see an anthology of the past 50 years of cricket put together in a book. Pakistan cricket has recently completed its golden jubilee and fittingly celebrated the great occasion with a series of functions to honour the cricketers of the past and present.
The book compiled by Mr. Mukhtar Bhatti, is both excellent and timely, addition to the burgeoning cricket literature. The book contains a chapter on the pre-Independence era of cricket and the test matches played between England and India, to provide useful information to cricket enthusiasts.

The other chapters deal with Pakistan performance after the birth of the new nation leading to its membership of the International Cricket Council in 1952. The book has recorded and reviewed the period right upto the present time (2002) illustrating it with photographs. Inclusion of records, statistics and scoreboards make this publication a valuable document and the Editor and Publisher merit credit for their efforts to yet another book to their name compiled over the years. - Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board
