Description:
This is mainly a collection of carefully selected topics and well-drafted writings that one would come across in any reputable newspaper.
The issues directly affecting Pakistan’s growth and development are covered with actual cases and facts presented to substantiate the author’s claim that Pakistan and Jinnah have both been betrayed. Due credit should be given to ABS Jafri for exposing the ills of the society in the way that he has.
Pakistan has been sketched as a place where the law of the gun prevails. Primitive laws are still in place where the ‘waderas’, ‘pirs’ and ‘jagirdar’s’ exercise their own laws- at times even maintaining their own prisons for the enslavement of mainly women and children.
Even the custodians of our freedom and our protectors- the police and army play a major role towards increasing discontent and insecurity in the community. Munir Shah is one such case where an innocent man was locked in prison for 12 yrs without any sort of trial or court appearance being arranged for the victim.
Its about time such a poignant book came into the market exposing so vividly the various ills of the society. As such the book is highly recommended to anyone interested in acquainting himself with the direction in which the country is heading.
