Where it comes to sense of humor, there have not been many better than Shafiq ur Rehman. Full credit to him on concentrating exclusively on this aspect of Urdu Literature and filling the gap that one felt was there in 'Urdu Adab' regarding this genre.
Yes there have been attempts at satire, but over here we are talking about high quality 'Urdu Adab' where the humor is so well embedded within the fluent text that one can't help but admire Shafiq ur Rehman for his efforts.
